Viktoria was an absolutely gorgeous Irish tri bitch. She was the first born of her litter and I remember well her puppyhood because she was really fat. She was always wagging her tail - when she saw me, when she ate Natalya's crayons, when she ate several pounds of dog food and a bag of chocolates in Sunny's car.
As a mature bitch, she had a huge sidegait and was very clean coming and going. I also remember Phyllis and Cecelia chasing after me in their mini-van to tell me that in their opinion, Viktoria should have won Winners, nay! BREED, during a supported entry show in Washington because of that sidegait (that very generous observation is treasured by me). She had reserve to a 4 point major in the very tough Colorado circuit, shown by Susan Malonee.
Viktoria was bred twice. Her first litter was an outcross co-breeding to one of Barb Bouray's fine males named Kiryukhin. That litter produced 5 pups including Ivan and Leelu. The second breeding was to the Magic son, Ch AmberWind's Fire in the Dark, SC, CD, LCM. While in whelp, Viktoria chased a cat into the fence and broke her neck. You can see a her memorial here. |
